I’m the mother of two energetic little girls, a former pharmaceutical sales specialist, and now an independent skincare consultant. My passion for cosmetic products led me—after completing high school in Novo mesto—to pursue a university degree in Cosmetology in Ljubljana, which I later elevated with a Master’s in Industrial Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy.

My research work took me to Istanbul, where I completed my master’s thesis at Marmara University. After finishing my studies, I landed an internship in the cosmetics department at Merck KGaA in Germany, where I focused on the development, quality testing, and efficacy evaluation of cosmetic products. During this internship, I conducted a study on UV filters for skin protection, for which the company received the SEPAWA Innovation Award in Berlin in 2017. The findings were also published in SOFW Journal 9-2017.

After gaining this invaluable experience, I returned to Slovenia and began my career in the pharmaceutical industry. However, my curiosity constantly drew me back to the realm of cosmetics. This eventually inspired me to share my knowledge through my YouTube channel and Instagram under the name Skincareslo.

As my audience grew, I noticed more and more that none of us were really taught what our skin truly needs, how to care for it, or which products suit it best. In the abundance of cosmetic options out there, it can be overwhelming—and often there’s simply not enough time to delve into it.
